FS: 89 FX3 Shocks and Actuators
SOLD!!!
Selling my 89 FX3 shocks and actuators.I baught my 89 last Oct with the FX3 system not working which wasnt a big deal to me since I planned on going a different route with the suspension anyway. All parts have 52kmi on them just pulled them this week.
So this is what I have
**Front shocks**
both seem to work well and do adjust from firm to soft.Rubber grommets are like new condition, but both shocks have the cast metal adjuster gears broken on the tops of the shocks
**Rear Shocks**
one rear seams to work well and adjusts from firm to soft and has a fully intact adjuster gear.
Other rear shock seems to be blown the adjuster gear will spin completely around and the shock will not adjust
** Front and Rear Actuators**
All actuators seem in good condition Im not quite sure how I could test them with the SRS light on, but they seem in working condition with no sighs of cracked or broken adjuster gears.

Are you sure you want to ditch the FX3 system? I had the front shocks sent to Bilstein years ago for inspection, testing, painting and new decals. I never had a problem with the system until right before I sold it. Sometimes I would get a light when in the stiffest position and then it would go out. The FX3 system works really well and I think you can still get different programs for it.
The 89 Challenge Series racers had the FX3 with the Z51 springs. That might be the killer set up. I think Bilstein still repairs these shocks and if the actuators are good then you are halfway there.

Yeah Im sure..I ended up going a different route that better suits my needs and will be much more reliable with alot less headaches then fx3 and still retain the same or better performance as the stock fx3
