FS: LT-x 396ci long block! FRESH Rebuild!
Ok everyone; this is the heart of the beast. Here are some details;
96' LT1 4-bolt main block (1-piece rear main seal)
RaceTec Custom low-compression .040 over pistons (have piston specs)
-low compression application for boost, forged pistons.
DES 4340 I-beam rods (CBC-6000I) 6"
Eagle 4340 Crank, 3.875" stroke (396 stroke)
The genuine LT4 gaskets are still on the block
the ARP head studs will go with the engine
I have a front cover for either an early LT or late model LT engine
I have a Mellings mid-volume (LT4 application) Pump
Canton oil pan
Canton pick up tube (brand new in the orignal package)
The Cam is a CUSTOM crower cam with the following specs:
Duration at .050" int 232/ exh 242
.585 lift intake *w/1.6:1 rockers
.597 lift exh *w/1.6:1 rockers
Cam card will go with the engine
** if you don't want the cam take off $150 from the price
LT4 timing Chain
aluminum Fidenza flywheel, balance matched with rotating assembly. This can still be used in an auto-equipped car. You just need to balance match your flywheel/torque plate to the Fidenza unit on the engine.
AFR fasteners (I believe main studs) on the mains.
Clevite bearings on the rods, mains.
does not include:
lifters
intake
heads
push rods
water pump
opti-spark
this engine has 0-miles since rebuild. Never fired it up.

Let me know if you have any questions
Asking $2,750 excluding shipping, as this is a HEAVY assembly.
still in the car until I have a serious buyer. The pistons alone cost $1,000 and took 6 weeks to show up (custom ordered for this boost application).
This engine and cam should still be pretty serious in an NA application.

How hard would it be to convert an 85 to use this application? I havent reallty looked into it but would it require a stand alone system and just eliminate the original ecu?
