Default FS: New 88-95 Vette Lightweight Starter

Brand New Lightweight Corvette Starter:

MADE IN JAPAN, not the later cheap Chinese replacement version.

I bought this from Sallee Chevrolet for $269.40 and never used it as I needed the larger Chevy flexplate to deal with the 4L80E.

Will sell for $140 including shipping UPS Ground from 95050 (lower 48 states).

PM if interested. I see these on E-Bay for ~$415 saying 'Rare', but I just want to sell it as I am getting ready to move.

10455702 - Starter, Gear Reduction 153 Tooth L-98 Corvette Style, BRAND NEW. This lightweight starter was introduced on 1988-95 Corvettes. Its internal gear reduction multiplies torque for fast starts. It weights just 10.14 lbs - 9 lbs less than a conventional starter. This compact starter also offers additional clearance for competition oil pans and chassis components. Use starter bolt P/N's 14097278 and 14097279.
Technical Notes: Use with 12-3/4” outside diameter flywheel.

Bump - must be too high, I'll go $125 which is the same as the good Japanese remanufactured units are selling for.

Will this work for LT1's? It claim it's for 1988-95, but the description says "L98 style". Also, will the stock bolts work or do you have to try to find the special bolts?

Starter is still available. Brand new, made in Japan version, not the cheaper version or Chinese rebuild.

PM me if interested.
