Default 85 Corvette Catalytic Converter straight through replacement pipe

This is the Canadian straight through pipe replacement for a 1985 corvette catalytic converter. It just bolts in. Still in great condition.
$29




You can see by the picture the Canadian pipe is straight through, but looks just like a cat and passes the emissions test.

How does it pass the emissions test? Is that with the precats still on?
