Bought a rear spoiler from him a few weeks back. Prompt payment was made.. product shipped a few days later.
Product ended up being damaged on arrival. PM'd him and he basically told me to call ups to file a claim. Which I couldn't do since I'm not the shipper. Asked for a refund and he never responded. He then told me he would contact UPS 2 weeks ago. Haven't heard from him since...so I guess I now have a item thats useless and should have just thrown my money out the window.

Use at your own risk.

Please clarify what exactly happened. You didnt open the package until over two weeks after it arrived. I sent detailed high resolution pictures of the top and bottom of the spoiler and there was absolutlely no damage. The damage occured during shipment. I contacted UPS to file a damage claim and they were supposed to send a call tag to pick it up for inspection. I have not heard anything from you or UPS since then. I just called UPS and they informed me that any damage claims must be with 48 hours of delivery. I insured the spoiler for $250 but that is all a waste now. Funny thing is you post this before even trying to resolve this. I dont think it makes much sense to ship it back to me. I want you to please tell me what I did wrong? I answered all communication, I offered assistance. I filed a claim. Now because you waited two weeks to open a package I am basically forced to refund the money. I think the fair thing to do would be split the cost. It's a fiberglass spoiler and a crack can be ground out and fixed. I sold the spoiler for $150 shipped and shipping cost me $53 with insurance.

As I've stated in my PM's with you I'm not going to get in a p!ss!ng match and I've come right out and asked twice to return it. And both times you avoided the question. All I was looking for was a Yes or No answer... it was that simple.

Amazing... I post ify feedback and all of a sudden you've contacted UPS and got all these answers for me. To late... good communication also involves communication within a reasonable amount of time. 2 weeks later IMO is not reasonable.

I'm past the point of looking to get my money back or a return. I've tossed it up as a loss thats it. I've posted feedback only for other users to be certain that if they purchased from you to be certain they want the item. You obvisously don't like to have anything returned if damaged, etc. So let the member make the choice whether or not they want to purchase from you.

This is also not a thread to have a disagreement in, however it does clearly show how you get when someone has a problem. You become difficult to work with. So thanks for posting!...

So which is it. Insured for $100 or $250??.... was it $46 extra or $53??
It helps to keep you story straight.

FWIW- Here's the pms

There wasnt any cracks when I shipped it. I sent high resolution photos of the top and bottom and you can see there isnt any. UPS must have damaged it in shipping. You will have to contact them. They also charged me an extra $46 in shipping. I insured it for $100
If you insured it then you should contact UPS. I run a business and ship a lot out myself so I know how it works. The shipper will need to get in touch with them. I can see your gonna not gonna work with me on this are you? As well as refuse to allow me to return it. Honestly I don't care what extra they charged you in shipping its the sellers responsiblity per your thread, which is now gone. I just shipped out two tires for a guy down south. After all was said and done and after a week UPS charged me an extra $26 for that freight. I didn't go back to the other member and wine about the extra amount of money. And told him that if he didn't like the item he could return it freely, no questions asked. Its called good business.
Rather than get into a pissing match lets just end this easily.
Can I return it or not?
thanks
ee

I will contact UPS to file a claim. It might be too late. I didnt whine to you either, I never mentioned it I was just complaining about UPS.
Thank you. I do understand that its the weekend so thats no problem. I'll wait to hear from you sometime next week.
Ed

And the PM after KO1's post today
A bit of sarcasm?... keep the money ...we're done!..

What you should do is ship it back to me insured for $500 maybe they will break it more.

I'll give you $150 back if you return

Its really a shame that it took my post in this thread to finally get an answer out of you if it could be returned or not. I'm done with you.
Good luck in your future sales ....

I really dont understand. Never ever did I say I wasnt going to take care of it. Seeing I did pay for insurance, I tried to go that route first. I contacted UPS and they said they were going to pick it up and inspect it. I've done this before and some times it takes a couple weeks. A simple PM asking what the status was would have been more appropriate. UPS sent me a revised bill for a total of $53..you can calculate it yourself, they charged me extra because of the size. UPS also has free insurance for up to $100 stated value and I forgot I did insure it for $250 total. The only thing you ever asked for is if you could send it back. I thought it would be foolish to spend $53 to send a basically a broken $97 spoiler back. You didnt get back to me for two weeks after you got it too. It is normal practice and highly recomended to inspect shipments as soon as possible. I am truly sorry this happened. I never once ignored any of your PMs. The PM today was a joke. Every time you have made posts to me or about me I have responded and usually that day. I tried to follow through and file a claim but they won't honor it. I then offered to honor your resolution to send it back for a refund which i have never ever refused. I think you need to step up and take part of the blame for waiting so long to open and inspect the package. I paid for insurance to cover myself but it was too late to attempt a claim.

Very nice and helpful member. Prompt shipping and fair prices on everything I have received from him. I'm sure it's been said before. Top notch! Did I say very helpful? It's worth repeating.

Default California poptop cockpit/window cover

I bought one of these for my 85 last september. I needed something to help keep water out of my newly restored interior until I can get the windows and weatherstrip adjusted and tweaked just right. After a little more than a year, I had some issues with it. I contacted the manufacturer and informed him of the situation. I requested that he front me a replacement cover prior to my returning the original so that I wouldn't risk getting water inside the car. A couple weeks later, a new cover shows up in the mail. That is what I call good service.
