[LAID OFF SALE] Cam/heads/roller rockers and more for sale!
Well, after getting laid off from my job, it's time for me to realize my heads/cam/intake plan isn't feasible for me to do, no matter how much I want to. So instead, I'm doing a superram swap, but nothing else.
So I have some stuff for sale. I don't have pictures yet, but will get some by the end of the week.
All prices include shipping. If anything is out of line, please feel free to PM me an offer. However, no low-***** please.
I have good history on here, as well as on Ebay. My Ebay name is the same as on here: 1990dtgl98
All prices are for shipping in the continental US only. Overseas or shipping to Hawaii/Alaska WILL cost extra.
AFR 190V aluminum cylinder heads
1200 shipped
Please add 3% for this item if paying by Paypal.
No longer comes with the head bolts as I have a potential local buyer.
58cc chambers. L98 plug style. D-port exhaust. Fully hand ported intake runners.
I'll have more info about these. But basically I purchased and it turns out that 2 valves were bad, evidence of valve float, etc.
I had them decked, cleaned, and flowed. Brand new Manley 2.08 intake valves, brand new Manley 1.6 exhaust valves. Brand new Comp dual valve springs, new retainers and new valve locks (added by me seperately), new viton valve stem seals. In addition to all that, the heads got a valve job, checked for cracks, and had new 3/8 studs installed. I have the repair work receipt showing 800+ dollars worth of parts and labor as well as the clearances, max valve lift and flow numbers for the heads.
With the 2.08 valves and 1.6 exhaust valves, they are on a 4.000 bore and flowed:
Lift------------Intake flow-------------Exhaust flow
.1---------------74cfm-------------------66cfm
.2--------------144cfm------------------121cfm
.3--------------205cfm------------------156cfm
.4--------------244cfm------------------182cfm
.5--------------270cfm------------------195cfm
.6--------------275cfm------------------200cfm
.7--------------278cfm------------------205cfm
I'll get the rest of the specs, as well as flow numbers, by next weekend, when I get back home to get the paperwork.
EDIT: Here's the rest of the info:
Came back to college and got the old build sheet for the heads. The exact printout of what it says:
Disassemble, clean heads, clean valves, flow 16 ports, replace all valves, perform multi-angle valve job, cut for spring seats, resurface decks, assemble heads to set installed height. $400
8 Manley 2.08 valves, 8 Manley 1.6 valves, 987-16 comp springs, 4770-16 comp spring cups. $450
Total before tax: $850. Total after tax: $901
-Springs installed at 1.800". 121 pounds seat pressure, 330 pounds open.
-.087 coil clearance at .565 lift
-.105 retainer to seal clearance at .565 lift
If someone buys these at my price, or reasonably close, I will include a brand new set of ARP 134-3601 small block chevy head bolts with it.
This picture, on the top cylinder head, that's protective oil that just ran from sitting so long:
Crane Cams 109831 "PowerMax" Hydraulic roller camshaft.
240 shipped

Cloyes "1145" double roller timing chain
45 shipped

So I have some stuff for sale. I don't have pictures yet, but will get some by the end of the week.

Dave,
I am sorry but I will have to pass as the part will not work for me. I wish you the best luck in finding a new job. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. My father was just layed off, I am not working either. I know how it feels. Hang in there and things will get better. I hope all your parts sell for what you asked. They are good prices. If you ever need someone to talk to or listen to any problems, feel free to pm me at anytime. I am more than willing to help you thru anything that comes your way. You are more than welcome to call or email me and I will help you to the best of my ability and will not judge you. Hope you find a job soon and your family is doing well.

Added some pictures of everything minus the heads. They'll come on later in the week. Also, the full specs will come when I get back to college and get the paperwork.
Anything else let me know!
Thanks man! I'm in college, so even though it was a full time job, it's not as significant as some others who've gotten laid off. I have rent for the next year saved, and I'll just defer on student loans.
It was just more a "I got laid off, and as much as I want to do this, I shouldn't" type situation. I would need another grand or so in parts (clutch, flywheel, street legal drag radials) to get the full performance of doing a heads/cam/intake swap. And with me graduating in May, looking for a new job with my degree, as well as finding a 1-bedroom apartment (more money than living with roommates) until I search for a house this winter, I couldn't justfying spending that extra grand without any job or job security for the future.
But enough babbling!

"AFR 190V aluminum cylinder heads"
Do you mean AFR 180? It's kinda hard to read but it looks like a "180" stamped in the side.
Either way a good deal on these! Good luck with your sale!

I picked these because I though the 190cc would be a good medium for a .040 bored motor. Not as big as a 383, but bigger than a 350. Too bad I never got to use them.

you didn't mention the comb.chamber cc's. If they are 58cc or less, I'll take them. Will a Postal M.O. work? You would just need to send my your address. Let me know, also the bare minimum shipped, like $1250? Sorry if that seems low-ball, but the pinch is on al of us, myself included.
Thanks,
