Default 1993 ecm 16159278 How to buy

I have a 1993 corvette automatic with 95000 miles. After months of asking, mostly here, the vast majority of people said its the optispark so I bought the msd, water pump, wires, plugs, coil, module, put on $1200: same stuff. Now I hear its the ecm, except there aren't any, not at gm/chevy, autozone, advance, o'reilly. Should I just sell it at the junkyard for $100 or can someone tell me a place to buy one of these little jewels. And by the way who quits making parts for a 15 year old car that they made 200,000 of? This situation is nuts and out of control.

We sent ours off to Auto Computer Exchange in FL. http://www.autocomputerexchange.com They did not have any instock. You pay shipping there and back. R and R of our ECM was $200.00 I hope this helps.

Our computer went crazy. Dash lights everywhere. SES light, Check ASR, No Speedo, flashing Security SYS. The car would die, but would start back up after a few tries.

Default 1993 ecm

This is great info. Just had an accident with mine. I will tell the story so it doesn't happen to someone else - Had to check my clutch fluid level and raised hood....it stayed put, so I "assumed" it had locked in place. Pulled the ECM out of the way (which means putting it over on the brake master cylinder....when the wind kicked up and hood slammed shut. Of course it mashed the ECM and nothing worked.

So, out looking for a new one and it was good to see this post as it guided me to the only source I could find today.

They are very hard to find. I bought one years ago as a replacement...once you get your's sorted.....it would be good to find a backup.....good luck.

Default 93 ECM, #16159278, rebuilt by SIA ELECTRONICS

I just had my 93 ECM, #16159278, rebuilt by SIA ELECTRONICS. They charged $190. I had spent the winter looking for a replacement. The car is now working like new.
