C4s are slow Thats why Ive only owned 3 of them

Sure they have many a fault, but there is no feeling in the world like strapping on a C4 and going for a drive.

With the introduction of the C-6 Round back lights will make the earlier C-4s come back into fashion. I like the round lights.

The number produced and currently not in junk yards and, more specifically, the condition I usually see them in.

Other than that? Nothing's wrong with them. There are just a lot of them around that aren't treated well, so they're perceived poorly.

I owned an 82 coupe auto and now own a 94 coupe 6 speed. The C3 feels antiquated compared to the C4. The extra 100 HP, crisper handling, more compact exterior design give the C4 a distinct advantage.

One comment that was already made is the C4's need for a tool to remove the top is somewhat cumbersome but the entire panel removed feels more like a vert than the C3's T-top.

Bash the C4?

Hmmm.. Lets see.
The water leaks.. when it rains outside, it rains inside..
The piece-o-dung OptiSpark..
The sometimes working Bose CD player..
Headlights that look like they do a 360 when they open (oh wait, that's a cool thing)
Can be mistaken for a burnt chicken. Or Kitt..
Sometimes called a C5. (got that comment at a car show from the general public)

And I still have one.. Is there something wrong with me?

I think the C4's are the last of the, 'feels like you're sitting in a muscle car', car. My C5 feels like I'm in a Caddi. Still Love 'em both.

I've heard a few of these C4 comments, and you’ve seen similar threads on this forum.

Maybe you can fill me in.

I think the basic problem may be that the C4 and the F Body Camaro and firebird shared so many styling cues, while nothing else even looked remotely like a C3 or a C2 or a C1.

There's no mistaking a C3 coming up, going past or leaving you behind! While a lot of Firebirds coming up can look like C4's.

This of course begs two questions!

1) do we throw away all of the substantial technical advances in the C4 over the not very advanced C3 just because the C3 has a unique look?

2) Is that "unique look" really that compelling? It never was to me. I bought a Jensen Healy in 1973 because of looks, performance and handling

Not to knock another Vette, but I have a number of C3 friends who will admit their cars don't ride, perform or have the creature comforts of a C4
