Default Lights behind the Gills on a C4?

I remember a good while back there was discussion about putting LEDS behind the fender gills on the C4s. Ive been ondering doing this but Im curious how it should be done. The car is red, so obviously the lights would be red...where to purchase, how many, how to wire?

How about one of those red lights that sweeps back and forth under the front of car (like "KITT" on Knight Rider)? Now THAT would be cool!

One of the guys in our club installed LEDs behind his gills and they came on with the parking lights. He just tapped into the parking light wires going to the front lights.

Well I guess that would be better than the neons along the rocker panels...

I think a small neon behind the gills, giving a soft glow, would look better than LEDs. But then you don't want anything that will interfere with air flow out of the gills either.

You need to find out how much current your intended setup would draw. If more than a few hundred mA, get a relay, like used for the MAF or such, to power the lights. Fuse the power to the relay and switch the relay off the parking lights.

For the record Kale, it's not ghetto, it is rice. If the lights were installed and did not work, and people could see that they did not work, then THAT would be ghetto.

Nah, nothing "fake" or "poser" about it. Its ghetto like, curb feelers, gold wire rims, and crushed velvet on the interior.

Rice is more like... if he put a ZR-1 badge on the car.
