Quarter Times For An Automatic?
Well, as the title specifies, I'm wondering what your C4 Auto.s can do in the quarter mile. I have a 1992, Automatic, and I'd like to know what to expect. Also, if anyone knows the top speed of an LT1 automatic, I'd be much appreciative.

what is the rear end ratio? 2.59 or 3.07? we can't even begin to tell you without that. is it completely stock? also, the driver makes a big difference even in an auto

Since we are on the subject...
How about the 1/4 time and top speed for mine? 3.07 performance gears 95 coupe LT1 all stock, automatic. Top speed and 1/4 time? You can estimate...I won't hold you to it. It can also be a RANGE.

94: *sigh* who has the STFU noob pic?
BigTexas: mid/lo 13s, say 13.2-13.5 as for top speed....well these cars are really limited by their horsepower and not their gearing, in other words, you'll run out of horsepower to overcome the aerodynamic forces before you run out of rpms in top gear....but generally speaking around 170ish

You can espect to get mid-13s from a bone stock LT1 with 2.59s and low-13s with 3.07s, depending on weather, track elevation and ability to hook up.
I'm not sure about the LT1s but the sales brochure for my '88 L98 stated top speed as "150mph plus". With current mods I estimate that I'd run out of RPMs in 3rd gear (don't know if 4th would have enogh torque to overcome wind resistance) at around 165-170mph.

"I say 13.75"
13.7 is a average for a 92 with 2.59's but my 95 aith 3.07's has got 13.2 a good many times and it's stock.
94-96 lt1's intake flows 20% more and in 93 they got 10lbs more torque lt1's also vary somewhat...not like lt4's but somewhwat....so his 95 is very capable of 13.2.
beisdes...I checked your sig and you get 13.4 in a 93 stock 6sp and if you don't know autos run a quicker ET...so why wouldn't you think his can get 13.2ish if your 6sp got 13.4 and is a 93 vs his 95 with the newer intake

Just because I am new to the corvette world doesn't mean I haven't raced at the strip before. I am a pretty decent (above ave) driver, thank you. I think I could definitely get a 13.2 with my 3.07 gears.

take a look at this page...
http://corvetteactioncenter.com/specs/1992/92prod.html
lists 1/4 mile at 13.6, and a factory top speed of 157...

the intake is even different on them..trust me his 95 is got more to it than 13.6.
also those numbers are from a 6sp the auto will run a quicker ET.

OK, so nobody believes my '93 went 13.37 bone stock with 2.59's, then you really won't believe my '95 completely stock with the 6 speed and 3.45's went 13.07@108mph.
Don't go by what magazines or video tapes that come with the car say, take it from someone with several hundred timeslips.
Click the links in my signature to see runs from both my cars.

I don't doubt your times one bit. Main reason being I get 13.2 with my 95 bone stock and people have a hard time trusting me about that too.
don't worry about it...we know what times our cars got.

I believe both of you...without a doubt. I have clocked myself on a very nice track 0-60 in 5.1~5.2 ish. 13.2 time with an auto and 3.07s... NO PROBLEM. I am also here in TX where the sea level isnt high and I avoid racing in the extreme heat.
