Default Rims, What C5 rims will fit C4 ??

Been thinking about the C5 brake caliper/rotor upgrade but know I need rims too.
I have seen some good deals on Z06 rims lately but don't know if they will fit.
Hate to buy them and then find out they wont !

I would prefer a set of black Grand Sport rims but they tend to be too $$$$

So does anyone know what sort of issues if any there would be with C5 rims??

C5 wheels wil fit on '91 and up C4's for sure. Some mid 80's models need spacers, but I'm assuming your talking about the one is your sig so it will be fine.

Check out my sig. No issues whatsoever with these rims. I'm running 275/40/17 up front and 295/35/18 in the rear.

No problems here either...I run C5 wagon wheels at the drag strip...

A friend of mine sells wheels, he has great prices on stock Z06 knock-offs...like $159 a wheel or something like that:

I think the Z06 wheels look the best , but that's just my opinion. The advantage to the wagon wheels is the price. You can pick up a clean set for $300-400. A clean set of Z06s is going to be $700-900. If you take your time you can find a set on eBay for a good price. You can alsways go with Z06 reproduction wheels, but I just don't trust them. Plus they are heavier than the stock wheels.

Make sure you post some pics when you finally get them.

Can any of you photochoppers do me up a pic of a black C4 with the black Z06 wheels? I am considering going that route. Also, are these Z06 repro's any good? Here is a pic of what I might try...... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43958

BTW, last night I saw some CHROME sawblades on a 94 vert and they looked nice. I don't remember ever seeing chrome saw blades. The driver told me they were expensive and he bought them out of a store in Richmond,Va.

Yeah, I like those also. I have only been shopping for rims for about a year. I should make a decision by Christmas. I'm torn between the 2K and the Z06. I am really just hoping for some pics to make my decision better. Then I'll see some on Ebay or in the paper for cheap and be undecided again.

A fellow member tipped my off to this link.
A set of rims like the Admiral has are $128 each on sale so about $500 for the set

Sale ends today though

I was on the same boat as you, could not decide between the two. What finally sold me was the fact that I could run wider tires with the Z06 wheels since they are an inch wider that the Y2K wheels.

One other thing I didn't like about the Y2Ks was that with their 65mm offset they sat in too far into the wheelwells for my taste.
