Installed Magnaflow's today!
Got the magnaflow's put on today! WOOO!!!!HOOOO!!!!! they are perfect and look awesome on a black car. i haven't noticed any resonance at all. cruising home on the highway at about 75mph, i hardly noticed that they were even there. not obtrusive at all. they don't sound near as obnoxious as all the high-school kids here in their Flowmaster equipped Mustangs. not too loud at all, but still ballsy. anyways thanks for all of you guys who recommended Magnaflow. i used www.hottexhaust.com you guys know about the coupon. $350 shipped. btw, how well do can i expect these polished stainless steel mufflers to stand up to the elements?
thanks,
randy
thanks,

I've had mine for 18 months or so, no issues. Great exhaust.

I can hear the exhaust inside the car plenty, but if I didn't want to hear the exhaust inside the car I wouldn't have put them on. It amazes me when people take the quiet stock exhaust off and then bitch about how loud it is in the car after they put on aftermarket mufflers

I am one of those people that took off the stock exhaust and now bitch about the noise. I have LTs, no cats, 3 inch pipe, x pipe, and magnaflows. It is not that it is too loud (which it is) the resonance rattles you to the bone. Even my friends with loud race exhausts cannot believe the resonance. It has become a love hate relationship.

I was one of the first vette owners in the Toronto area to install the Magnaflow SS mufflers on my 95vert with an X-pipe and let me tell you that the sound they produce fools people into thinking that my engine is modded (but it's stock). I get compliments all the time and still to this day (3 yrs with them) when I go to vette shows I'm usually the only vette there with this exhaust setup and after 3 years of use they still shine up really bright!!! In my opinion, they are the best bang for your buck mufflers for C4's.

they are the best for the money alright.heck the next cheapest system i beleive is flowmasters which only sell the complete system at over a grand.(obviously not catering to us 92-up owners who dont need pipes),and they arent ss.
350 bucks is a steal for the ss magnaflows and the install is 30 minutes in you driveway.i didnt even lift the car.backed up on a piece of carpet, laid under there with a sawzall and made two cuts on the oem muffs and they fell on the ground.clamped the magnas on intending to weld after placement was verified but am now leaving clamped in case i decide on a long journey i can easily put the quiet ones on.
one obscure fact to know is theres 2 magnaflow options for lt1 owners.
the popular stainless ones with dual tips and also a non stainless version with lt1 tips in high heat black for like 260 bucks.
i had resonance for 150 miles which is all but gone now, once in a while if the r's are just right it cause the hatch internals to vibrate making an annoying noise.no biggee, might just need new hatch struts or maybe isolators on the strut mounts...
go for it,cheap, easy to install, and totally reversible.

well, after 3 days and a couple o' hunnerd miles, i'm still trying to wipe off that **** eating grin. these mufflers are BUTTER!!! SMOOTH, BABY! i've never really heard anything that sounds like these. if you rev it up at idle, when you let off, there is no popping, sputtering or anything. it sounds too perfect. like a video game exhaust, ya know?
anyways, fit, finish, cosmetics, sound and overall, i love these things!
i couldn't be happier

did you get cat back or just two mufflers
[FONT=Arial]did you get cat back or just two mufflers for 350? If just mufflers what part number? They are just listed as universal fit on the website. Thanks
