How many other fellow C4 owners have even driven a C5?
I bought my '95 vert last summer for 11K (it had 138K on the clock) For the next 4 months, I proceeded to stuff almost another 13K into the car. I've done just about everything from paint, engine, trans, gears, interior, wheels/tires and worked out about every squeek possible. The car is in excellent shape and though I love it, I've been tempted to purchase a new C5 style body.
Well, tonight I drove home a '03 Z06 (no cats, borla's) I have to admit, it was nice, though I'm not sure if I'm ready to give up a convertible.
My question is, how many of other C4 owners have even driven a C5? This is not a which is better thread, just wondering if anyone drove one and wanted to replace the 4 with a 5.
I love my C4 but damn, the C5 was nice.
Opinions?

I've driven a few...even traded cars for an afternoon....
Nice car, feels like a Vette to me...
I'm going to leapfrog a C5 and get a C6...

Actually, I drove a C5 first before I bought my C4. It gave me the "fever" and within a month I had my C4. It was pretty nice, however.

Driven coupes, verts, and Z06's. They all have no soul. They ride and feel like a Caddy, the interior blends in with a cavalier.
Don't think I'll own a Vetter newer than a C4, need to go to a 68-72 car for my next one.

I test drove a 98 stick , and drove a zo6... The c -5 is a nice car.
I am sure some day I may own one
the zo6 is quick as can be.
the c-4 has more bang for the buck!
I am not giveing up my car for a c-5..

Damn 89x2,
I've always loved your cars, I can see why you'd never get rid of them. Definitely great choices...

Drove a friend's 2002 6speed. No doubt they are more refined than the C4. If I DID get one, I would have to keep my C4 somehow. The C4 is just enough "rough around the edges" to keep my love for it.

Never DRIVEN a C5...but I SAT in one of those Grand Sport look-a-like Z06s at the dealership about a month ago. The best thing about it was the headsup display. I actually liked the feel of my sport seats better.

I love my 96, and I've had a 'tremendous' amount of fun with it, believe me! My goal, with luck . . . is an 04 ZO6. Hopefully by 2005 it will be a reality. Hey, gotta have goals in life or it's just no fun!
Oh, and my 96 will stay in the family, my daughter will soon have a valid license!
Truthfully, I don't know anyone who would not want a Z in addition to or as a replacement of what they have now, other than for financial restraints. Those vettes are just plain HOT!

Re: How many other fellow C4 owners have even driven a C5? (MyRedC4)
I owned an 01 convertible and an 01 Z06. They were both great cars. So is my C4 convertible, and so is my husband's 70 coupe, and so was the 73 coupe we used to have, and so was the 86 coupe we used to have.......do you see a pattern here?
Actually, with a white C3 and a blue C4, we decided to go with another C5....red of course! (keeping the C3 and C4 of course!) :D

I've driven plenty of C5's, sticks, autos, stock, modified, but the one I enjoyed drivingthe most was a '69 coupe with the t-tops out, windows down, back window out, side pipes and a four speed, just screaming in that thing.

Drove one at Les Stanford Chevrolet in Dearborn, MI. Solid, smooth, very powerful, plastic interior, no "Corvette" sound, expensive. Keepin the 87 vert. :auto:
