How much do you drag race?
I counted up all my timeslips the other day and I found 90. I know that I'm missing several from one particularly bad night at the track. I don't know where they are, but I can only find one from that night. I've probably got another 10 passses to my credit in other people's cars.
I've had the car for 3 years and I had never raced anything before I got it. Compared to my friends I have raced my car a lot more than most of them, but I've still got a ton to learn. I still consdier myself very much a rookie when it comes to drag racing.
How many passes do you have to your credit and how do you rank your drag racing skills?

Not nearly enough.
I have close to 400 runs on my '95 and I'm guessing a bit over 100 on the '93.
Been racing the '95 since 2000 and the '93 started in 2002.
The '95 six speed is officially retired from racing, but I probably will race it at the Cruise In(unless I decide to bring the other car).
I used to go every Friday and Saturday, but due to a small change in my job, Friday's are out and Saturday's I go only when I'm allowed. There are more Sport Compact days added to the schedule and specific days where only non GM cars can run.
This past Saturday will be the last time I race until Bowling Green and I won't race at my home track till somtime in June, it really sucks.

One time in my red car, and about 5 runs in my old GS. That's it, no more. :)

I've taken the 96 to the track twice, maybe 10-12 runs total.
I've had the 86 out 4 times, maybe 25-30 runs. Once when it was stock and once after every major mod change. The car (gears, cam, suspension) is really set up for driving events. I use the 1/4 mile as a yard stick to measure performance, kinda like the dyno.

I've had 2 trips to the 1/4 = about 7 runs and about 4 times to the 1/8 = about 15 runs. One time for a track day at Sebring and to me there is much more of a rush here. How many runs to burn a full tank of gas at the strip? 1/2 a day at sebring :reddevil . It is more wear and tear on the car, and more expensive to do by a considerable margin though...

Re: How much do you drag race? (Nathan Plemons)
I started drag racing 7yrs ago when I got the IROC; I put about 50-100 passes on the Vette each of the 4yrs I've owned it.
This season I mostly just compete in the East Coast Corvette Challenge series and Real Street on Sat evenings at Raceway Park.
I've decided that I need competition practice (lost a few at the big end); so only run T/T when tuning of trouble shooting.

Re: How much do you drag race? (JSA 007)
I started drag racing in 1995 with my 91 GT Mustang. Got it to run 13.1 with a COMPLETELY stock motor. Just a lot of suspension work to make her hook. Sold that and got my 67 Chevelle....she runs 10.80's with a basically stock 454. Have raced it for 3 years now. Can not even tell you how many passes she has on her. The track is 2 1/2 hours away...so I go as much as I can. But, with 2 kids now...it will be tougher! I have only raced the Vette 1 time so far....at Vette vs Viper Day at New England Dragway last October....motor was breaking up real bad...needed plugs!! Embarrassingly it only went 14.1. HA. Might be racing it up at NED for Super Chevy in May...if the Chevelle is not back from the paint shop!
