i just got a c4, was wondering what is the top speed and how many horsepower does it have? how much potential does it have and what is the 1/4 mile for it thanks in advance corvette gods....here are some pics <img src=" http://us.f2.yahoofs.com/bc/40036c78...cwZABES2sx4dK" border=0>

it depends... a 1984 is good for about 145 or so... 1985-1991, about 150, 1992-96 (LT1) about 160, 1990-95 ZR1 - 180 and an LT4 - about 165.

1984 - (L83) 205
1985-86 - (L98) 230
1987 - 235
1988 - 240
1989 - 245
1990 - 91 - 250

The Callaway Turbos were anywhere from 345 to 400 or so. I don't remember.

1992-1996 (LT1) - 300
1990-1992 (ZR1) - 375
1993-1995 (ZR1) - 405
1996 - (LT4) - 330 (that's low, it is estimated closer to 350~360)

Auto or manual tranny also has a lot to do with top speed. Motor Trend tested a 6-spd in 92 and got it up to 172. I have no doubt about it either, the car pulls real hard to 150 but that's all I've had the guts to do.

Don't know about those earlier than mine, but 90 through 96 is about 170 mph at its top speed in stock form maybe with a K&N. (96s can probably hit 172 mph stock). I've gotten mine up to 168 on the freeway at WoT but had to drop short cuz my radar detector was goin nuts. That was on a stock L98 with only a K&N and nearly 100k on it:D a year ago believe it or not. 1/4 time stock in mine was 13.68. :smash:

My SHOWROOM stock LT4 with 70,000 miles ran 174. It still had a little bit left in it. This was on a slight decline.

Got 152mph out of my 91 L98 aito trans 2.59 rear.

My dad got mine up to 152 and shut it down then right after it shifted from 3rd to 4th. We suspect it would have gone to around 170-175 or so.
