Under Hood Lights
Just picked up a 90 ZR1, and have a question. All the fuses look good in the panel, and all the lights work- but can seem to get the 2 under the hood convience lights to illuminate.
I have heard their is a way to disable these-perhaps the pervious owner did?
Let me know your thoughts...

Re: Under Hood Lights (Frank43)
Rather than messing with fuses, I just unhooked mine. Follow the wires down from the lights into the nose of the car. You should find a connector there...if it's not connected, there's your problem!
Congrats on the new purchase!

Under the hood, just forward of the driver's side front wheel well, next to the side light there is a fuse housing that holds a single blade-type fuse for the underhood lights.
It may be burnt out or missing.

Re: Under Hood Lights (We Gone)
I always unhook the underhood lights on my '89 if the hood is going to be up for any lenght of time. My bet is that they are just unpluged. Be carful if you try to check the bulb. The heavy glass lense will fall and break. Believe me, I know. :(

I've got the same problem, I have not found any fuse by following the wires. Can't seem to find any voltage for the lights. How come all these little problems show up on Vettes? :smash: :smash: :smash:
