TLC Rides show with 1,200 hp 88 ?
Anyone see the show Rides on TLC a few weeks ago? They were at Troys building a 67 Mustang for Ebay. The guy they brought in to dial in the computer had a 1200hp '88. Car was Admiral Blue. Anyone know anymore about it ??

did it have twin turbos? sounds like that one blue vette that has been featured in lots of magazines, like chevy high performance. the guy drives it daily if weather permits and goes out messing with mustangs and ferraris all the time

I  that show. The Vette did look like a more up 2 date car though, he must have changed the body panels. I  that Mustang here in DC at the World of Wheels last week. It maybe in Baltimore this weekend at the World of Wheels. I took 1st place in the conservative sport class :D we had about 14 rods and customs in my crew that entered.

And they never got a good close up of the engine - the dude opened the hood, they showed it for maybe 3 seconds, and that was it. Looked sweet!!

I wanted to be the guy going for the ride!!! He had a newer nose on it, but I think the rear was 88 '.

Re: (scorp508)
At a local dyno shop that does custom work by me (Fast Forward) they had a 88' vette twin turbo. At full boost they dynoed it at 1200hp at the fly wheel. The guy there said it will do a burn out at 120mph . It was also used for autocross so it could handle too. There was also a 250 shot of nitrous hooked up but it had never been used haha.
They also custom made a twin turbo set up on a ferrari 355 spyder

That has to be John Meany's car.
I believe it was featured in PHR last year
