any way to stop paint from peeling????
there was a mishap in the driveway today and now the fascias of both vettes have peeling/cracking paint.........anyone know of anything I can put on them to stop the paint from coming off???

Did part of the paint bubble up where it wrinkled? Or is the paint actually cracked?
Either way, you're screwed. I've talked to several paintjobs and detailers, and they say there's nothing I can do.
I'm thinking of getting a syringe and injecting superglue into the bubbles.

I've got a nice spider mark on my black 87 bumper. Lot's of bubbles/cracks running off. I've been trying to decide if I should try and have the bumper painted or put on a bra and live with it. Any chence they can actually paint these and have them match (and look matched in six months?
I went through this same thing with my Eclipse. Matched real nice... until the hood started to look like crap cause they sanded the clear coat off! Arrrggh! Now that dealer is gone... like my paint on the hood.
Any great ideas?? :banghead: (My brother-in-law banged the bumper about a week before I picked the car up. Started out small but it seems to be growing.)

I think the only way is to get a new paint job. Thats what I had to do when clear coat was taking a vacation on me.

I think the only way is to get a new paint job. Thats what I had to do when clear coat was taking a vacation on me.
