I like the B&M myself. My trans tech says its a wash between the 2 but he did say the trans go is a little more tunable.

i hoping to have a transgo shift kit installed in my 86 over the winter  from what i've heard, you can't beat them for a 700R4 tranny

You talking about a shift kit?
My 93 had a B&M shift kit and it shifted so hard at anything over 1/4 throttle that the ASR came on. I didn't like it.

Several good tranny shope in the area recommended the TransGo kit; I run a TransGo in the IROC and a TransGo-like kit in the Vette.
After the install into the Vette it was shifting a little hard and low at part throttle so I just moved the TV cable forward a few clicks and voila...perfect.

I've had a transco in my z28 and truck. Its the best in my opinion.
BTW, my truck was sold with 165,000+ miles on it (kit put in at 50k miles) and the trans still operated perfectly, with only having regular maintenance.
