Default Where to get rotors?

I have some pulsing in my brakes and think I may be in line for new rotors for my 86 vert. Recommendations? What can I expect to pay? I don't need an upgrade unless it doesn't involve changing anything else. Just looking for a good source. Thanks in advance.

You can go through Mid America and you'll pay less than 90 per rotor for some decent ones for your 86. So they're right it'll be about 400 with shipping in most cases, but installation would be probably another 300 or 400 depending on whether or not you need em installed or are planning to do it yourself for all four rotors. I'd suggest the latter if you can. Are you feeling a gritty pulse when you brake? If so you're probably right...happened to me a while back and sure enough.... rotors.

I wouldn't describe it as gritty. More like a dull pulsation in the steering wheel when I hit them at highway speed, coupled with a slight pull to the left. I am willing to try doing most things myslef on the vette, but right now don't have the time. Plus, I need the shop to tell me if it is in fact the rotors, right now just guessing. I also am less willing to try a repair when it involves brakes. I'm ok trying something that might hamper my ability to go faster if I mess it up -- not so willing to try something I haven't done before that might hamper my ability to stop!

Corvette Central has a package deal for rotors (Drilled), with good pads.
Seems like a good deal to me. http://www.corvettecentral.com
Just my 2 cents.
Good Luck

Never fear.
Brake work can be some of the easiest maintainence you'll do on your Corvette. I put new rotors (it was pulsing) and pads on and the hardest part was getting the front rotors off the hub.
