Hurricane Juan: 1; My Vette: 0
Worst Hurricane to hit Halifax in 40 years and it took out my garage and my vette.
The vette is on the lefthand side of the garage, you can make it out in some of the pics -look for the headlight cover.I can see that the rear tires are blown out from the weight, but the hood is totally intact.... I'm not sure if it will be repairable or not, it's gonna be 2 weeks before I can get a crew in to remove the tree on top. I did have insurance, but I really don't want to loose a friend that's been with me for 13 years.

Nope, luckily - no one hurt, even the motorcycle in there was untouched (although that remains to be seen as the demolition crew comes in and works around getting it out.)
I actually took all the other cars and got them out of the back of the driveway to avoid falling branches, I never dreamed that the concrete garage would be the most unsafe place.

OOOOMMMMMGGGGG!!!
Sincerest Sympathy from Delaware (both Juan and Isabelle missed us - WHEW!) As long as you're unhurt and healthy, you can still help your best friend! Good Luck...

Ouch. That's the reason why I have no desire whatsoever to live anywhere near the coast. We have a Tornado every now and then, but otherwise we're just dodging sink holes.
At least nobody was hurt, you can always replace a car.

I have a concrete garage also, cinderblock walls just like yours.. I sure hope none of the big tree I have come down like that..!!!
Good luck on getting the car repaired and back on the road!

Very sorry to see your misfortune. I am now recovering from Isabel which destroyed the first floor of my house from flooding. My Vette was moved ahead of the storm so I still have it.
Good luck with all your insurance issues. My experience thus far has not been so great. It has been nearly 2 weeks since the storm and have yet to recieve one penny. :mad

Cars can be replaced..lives can't. I am sorry to hear about your car though.
I just went through Isabel a few weeks ago..so I can relate with you about going thru these storms.
Keep us informed if you can salvage her.
Good luck!
