Any one here ever though of getting a C5?
I'm looking at the 1997 and 1998, the prices have really went down.
I have a 88, and I'm honnestly wondering if it would be worth selling a getting a 97 or 98.
In Canadian, there selling for about 35 g$... and I think I could easily get 15 to 20 for mine.
What are people thoughs on this?

I came really close to buying a C5 a few months ago before I bought my C4. I test drove it and just fell in love with it, but I hate of car payments out weighed my love for the car. Now I have money to mod my 92. I do sometimes wish I had it, but maybe one day I will be able to afford both.

I think of A C5 all the time. But my better half won't let me take the money out of the money market fund's. I even wanted to cash in the IBM stocks, but nooooooooooo. Guess she knows she will out live me, and will need the bucks$$$$$$$$$$$.
Suck's!!!!!!!!!!!! You only live once.
After all these 40 years, you think she would soften up to my car/vette addiction.
But money in the bank is better than none.

If I had the money, I'd get a C5 with a tired motor....do you know why?
427 Lignenfelter twin turbo package. You'll be shutting down 'busas all day (with A/C and catalytic converters) long with its 1.97 second 0-60, sub 9.5 at 153 MPH 1/4 and 220+ top speed.
Dont believe me, look in June 02 Motor Trend. Its an animal.
But would I sell my C4 to do it....NEVER !!!!

Whenever I get the urge to buy a C5 I usually end up behind one at a traffic light and the urge disappears. :)

If I could get a reasonable price (ie a part of the mod money) for my ZR-1 I would sell it and get a C5 vert. Sice I have a race car I just need a good get around cruiser. But with prices these days that is not going to happen.

C5s remind me of the song "Fat Bottomed Girls" by Queen. The only reason I would have one is that I get tired of pouring money into my 85.
