Default Best $75.00 I ever spent

Went to the local budget muffler shop on Saturday to have the mufflers eliminated. They did a great job, and only cost me $75 bucks!! I also had them extend the original exhaust tips about 1 inch beyond the bumper to reduce resonance. Now the car sounds like a Vette should. If you live in the Kansas City area, it is A-1 Budget muffler on 87th street. Gotta go get in and drive!!!!! :hurray:

Hey, Jay can't wait to hear the new sound. Will you be able to make it to Vette's on the Square again this year?? All the info is on the Club site, click on url in my sig then go to Calendar. Send me an E-Mail if you need more info...

:seeya ... Denver...

Sounds like a deal, but how loud is it? I'm looking for "just a little" louder, would like to still be able to hold a conversation at 70 mph or so. :D

A great idea. I first installed MA's muff eliminators on my '86, but they kept coming loose and I didn't like the looks of all the clamps, etc. with the kit. So I went to a mom and pop muffler shop and had regular pipes bent and welded. Looked great and sounded great.
THEN, I replaced the factory cat with Corvette Central's H/O cat, and what a great sound. And it passed emmissions!

A new cat will get even the worst running POS past a sniffer.

It's loud enough that my wife can hear me leaving the house when she is in the shower! I'm almost afraid I'm going to get a ticket. I know the neighbors just LOVE me now. :blueangel:
