Under hood lights
I discovered that my hood lights don't work because they are unplugged. It wasn't too obvious where the plugs are. Any hints about where to look?

I just have to ask..... How did you know they aren't working because they are unplugged if you couldn't find the plugs? :D

I took the lenses off to see if the bulbs were blown because the fuse was OK. Then I traced the wires and found the plugs dangling but couldn't see where to plug them in. Maybe it was because there were no lights. Ha!

Look for the right connector opposite the overflow tank on the inside of the front nose panel. Then you will know what to look for on the other side.
BTW, I installed one of those switch kits to turn my lights off between races; it's much more convenient than the fuse or connector tricks.

...MUCH more convenient.
Mine were unplugged when I bought my car, too.
I just wired two rocker switches inline with the lights. About $5 worth of hardware.
It got me thinking, however...why would GM put lights there in the first place?
I mean, if you are going to work in your engine compartment after dark, wouldn't you use a drop-light?
And a problem on the road usually means AAA because there's precious little room to carry any tools. And the lights are so FEEBLE.
Useless appendages, IMHO.

I've occasionally used the underhood lights when checking fluids on a trip.
Plus I think they look cool when I pop the clam to show off the detailed engine compartment to friends.

Thanks for all the input. I am back in business. Starting on the pass. side helped. Probably decorative but a "loose" end now tightened up.

On the 94 you can pull the fuse located in the area of the vacuum tank to shut the lights off instead of unplugging them. :yesnod:
