building a maf?
has anyone ever built their own mass airflow sensor and made it work? I was looking at mine today and was wondering what would be involved.

There's a lot of tricky circuitry in there......... It has a thermister, a heater, a hot wire, and some circuitry to figure out how many amps it takes to keep the hot wire at a certain temp. I have seen it laid out but I think that by the time you make one you could get a deal on one of the new type that doesn't have the wire. NAPA has them and if you are pals with the manager you could get a deal on one. It has no heat sink or screens but there is a grid in the front side that I think is part of the cicuitry. It flows more air than the original. MAD has them too.
