Tire advice please
My GSC,s have about 20k on them, and I am going to replace them soon. Looking at BFG KDWS, BFG KDW or Bridgestone Potenza's. Any opinions for a 94 MN6 vert?

Well if you have your heart set on the two brands get the Bridgestones.
But I have to second the vote for Kumho's. They are just a great tire for the price.

Have Sumitomo's on my '93, great tire for dry. I'm not so impressed with the wet performance tho. Tirerack.com... 126 for the fronts, 146 for the rears.

Have you thought about the Firestone Firehawk SZ50EP? Do a ratings comparison on each of the tires you want as well as the firestones at http://www.tirerack.com you may be surprised at how these tires match up against what you are considering now! I have them on my '95 and could not be happier!

Have the BFG KDW on my 96, they are fairly quiet and hold real well, break traction progressively and work well enough in the rain to get me home without being concerned.

I dont know about the bridgestones but I have the KDWS and I would swear by them... this last weekend I got caught it a heavy rain/hail storm and I had no problems with standing water on the road at near posted speeds (55) They hold very well on dry pavement as well.

KDWS here also....I like them alot.
But then ANYTHING would have been an improvement over the POS General tires the previous owner had on the car
When I took it to the tire shop to have them replaced becasue I just couldn't stand them anymore the guy that owns the tire shop said "I didn't even know General made tires that would fit a Vette"

I had 2 sets of the potenza re-71 and i would not recomend them.I am ready to give kumos a try. :chevy
FWIW, I have some friends in a local autocross club and they claim the current tire of choice is the Pole Position's.

Just got the kumos. They go on friday!
Got my Kuhmo's installed Monday. Unfortunately it has rained everyday since, and is suppose to rain on and off until Monday. Hope to try them out next week.

I just put a new set of Potenta RE-730's on my 96 two weeks ago. So far I really like them (much better then the origional GSC's). I think they are a great looking tire also.
