BFG tires-KDWS Opinions?
Time to replace the GS-C's. Been thinking about BFG g-force KDWS. My major desire is quieter tires! Any thoughts out there?

That's an all-season/snow tire. Is that what you want? Your compound is going to be different with that type of tire vs. the KDW for examle.
I have heard favorable comments on the BFG KDW tires. Personally, I just purchased 4 Yokohama AVS Sport tires. Have yet to have them mounted and balanced though.

I have the KDWS....I like them. Very quiet and good grip. If I had it to do over again I would probably pay a bit more and get the KDW series instead....the KDWS is an all weather tire...it performs very well in the rain and ice but I try my best to never take mine out of the garage if it is even cloudy
I was in a situation where I had to buy my tires the same day (was swapping a guy my rims and tires for his rims and tires and I needed to do everything in one day because he was trading the car in) so I had to go with the KDWS because they were in stock and they would have had to order the KDW's.
I don't race my car or auto-cross it so I don't miss the bit more grip the KDW's would give me over the KDWS' but if you drive your Vette hard you might want to go for the KDW's.....or maybe the KD's if you aren't worried about wet traction.

I have the KDWS and I love them, they do GRIP! dont let the "its an all season tire" spook you. they are a bit of a beotch to get them to break loose at all. the only time I have had a problem is when I was turning in a shaded intersection when it was about 25deg out. I had some serious oversteer... but maybe that had to do with the down shift and 3/4 throttle!

I just sold my like new KDWS only because I never drive in the rain and thought a more dry design would be better. The KDWS is an excellent tire. The new RE 730's I have actually seem to break away easier than the KDWS but maybe that is because I went from 285 in the rear to 275. The KDWS is a smooth and quiet tire.

I run the KD's ..not the KDW's and the difference from the GS-C's was significant! I do a lot of autocross and these cut my times nicely.
