does anybody else find driving your vett frusterating?..................
.......IN THE CITY? my LT4 has so much power and the pedal is so sensitive and beleive it or not gainesville can have quite a bit of traffic. you can feel all that torque under the pedal and just ant to let it loose. i was told this would wear off after i had it a while and wasnt as impressed by all of the power but it has not. this car was not meant for city stop light to stoplight stop and go.... it was made for highways and back open country roads and twisties! i hate to say it but i almost ALWAYS drive my little 91 chevy S-10 with a fourbanger five speed if its going to be in town..... doesnt get me in trouble as much.... even if i floor that truck through all 5 gears.... sure it makes a lot of noise cause it has no muffler but it doesnt plant me under the car in front of me! i dont know whats wrong with me.... maybe it the getting in and out of the vett that gets old or the need to floor it whenever i touch the gas but i almost find it to frusterating to drive it on town! i had wondered if when i bought it that my truck would become obsolete in my mind cause i would be accustomed to so much power but now im finding its very nice to have the variety. thanks for leting me vent guys. any feedback is always welcome!

I'm sure rowing through the gears at rush hour does get old after a while but I can't see the frustration with the power.
Perhaps it's because I have an A4, but I realy love knowing that power is under there...just waiting to be released.
Sounds like you need to take her to the strip and "let her run" a few times. The she will purr in traffic and you will realy know what that means.

The only frustrating thing about my car is the loose torque convertor. It becomes un-nerving in traffic and or going up hills. That long draggy feeling can make you a bit batty. There's always a trade off to better performance though :)

with 2:59's in the rear, in town or under 35mph , i like to leave my l98 in drive or 2nd gear, otherwise i lope along at 1100rpm's , you can almost feel the cam loping the car forwards, my .02 cents :flag

Manual Trans is a pain in traffic. Its why GM sells so many automatic Vettes.

Jay D 90 383 - tell me more about your 'loose Torque Convertor' -
My transmission changes very smoothly but seems to refuse to let go as I slow down to stop, makes the car a bit 'grabby'. Much worse when oil is cold.
Is that it ?
