Do all vette owners have a lead foot?
As per usual my lead foot crushed the gas pedal as i left the grocery store.Seconds later i'm at mach 3 when i see cop car comming my way. Too @#$@$#@ late, all his lights ablase and he's doing a u-turn.Well this is my first intro to the local police here in my vette. He took my license and a few minutes later he handed me a warning ticket with the words WARNING SLOW DOWN $115 in his own hand writing.I thanked him for the warning then i CRUSHED THE GAS PEDAL!!!. OK so maybe i pulled away like i was driving miss daisy. As a cop told me in my old town "DON'T SHEET IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD"! When will i learn!! :D

I have noticed around me.... C4 drivers are the older guys who are just looking to get around A to B. Butstill know what a real car is.... C5 drivers will run there car whenever you want.....
That my sterotype
C4= Older guy driving his baby, better be in the garage by the end of the day
C5= Younger guys seeing what his baby can do

Not all do, but they should. It's more fun that way.

Nah, pricey tickets and resulting insurance surcharges make me extremely wary. I enjoy the car's immense power and great handling whenever I feel I can safely do it, but don't haul butt every time we go out in the Vette. I've owned some very fast cars over the years (I'm a ripe old 54), but never really enjoyed beating on them; sort of a cockeyed respect for the machinery maybe. Drive hard, but carefully. Even the old Hemi Roadrunner didn't get hammered THAT much...

I don't keep it on the floor everytime I drive...too much traffic in Houston. But I do enjoy those moments where it just seems right to abuse the tires and break the law. And, like any normal American male, I love to see if I can knock a few minutes off my "previous best" on a road trip to see the out of town family/friends. Bragging rights, ya know...
knock on wood, no tickets in about 4-5 years, none ever in a Corvette.

Most of the time I drive like a grandma, but every once in a while I step on it. :D

I also have a lead foot, but I haven't had a ticket in about 7 years. Been pulled over plenty of times though ;)

too scared to get a ticket.
I leave the mass-accelerations for on-ramps, places I know cops cant be, and even then it is usually just a good romp up to 70-80 or so.
Only seen triple digits like twice, and that was only about 105 or so. I am a scaredy cat of getting a nasty ticket.

I didn't buy the car on looks alone! I drive fast and have fun doing so. I do try to keep it under control so I stay about 8 over the posted most of the time. I do drive slower under a couple of conditions 1. Rain 2. Qtip in front of me and I can't get around it 3. traffic 4. cop with radar gun.

I've done stuff in the Vette that would have landed me a spot in the iron bar hotel for the night. 75% nice and easy, 20% spirited driving and 5% downright scary sometimes! :steering:
