How much did you pay & what shape was it
Just wondering what people paid for their vettes. I bought mine in Jan for $8200 67k on it and all it needed was tires that I got on ebay for $250 for all 4.

I bought my '87 ten - eleven years ago, paid $15K. It had 30,000 miles on it and was cherry except for the paint.....the clear was starting to go. It's been a heckofa car, and I'll probably keep it. At this stage of my life I could buy anything I want, but I don't need any more than this :cheers:

Good deal. I paid almost twice that 2 years ago with 42K on it. Everything still is in great shape. I added the rims. The only flaws are on the front clip. Rock chips :mad

I bought my 93 in the fall of 2002 and I paid 17500, with 40,000, fully loaded and pefect condition the seats looked like no one set in them. It might not have been a steal but I wasnt looking for a steal I was looking for and excellent C4 and thats what I got :cheers:

Re: How much did you pay & what shape was it (sumoboy)
Bought mine almost a year ago for 11.9k with 99k miles on it. Quasar blue ZF6 speed coupe that I fell in love with the first time I drove it. The flywheel/clutch/trannie grenaded a month after I bought it but thank god the extended warranty picked up the tab ($8000) on that. Its got the usual rock chips on the front end, the standard weird C4 electrical issues and needs new seat leather. The trannie is still noisy as hell so Ill prolly trade it in on a C5 when I get it paid off but Im loving life driving it in the mean time :yesnod: :thumbs:

I bought my 94 A4 coupe with 58K on it last July for $13.4K When I bought it, it had a leaky rear main seal and a tilt wheel issue that cost $1200 to fix them both, but I knew that going in, so no surprises there. It's in pretty good shape except for some rock chips and it seems like I've got at least half of them since I've had it :banghead: :mad

Re: How much did you pay & what shape was it (UA89Vette)
I bought my;
1985 Z51 with 30,000 miles in 1990 for $11,300. Just sold it with 60,000 miles for $12,000. Guess I was paid $700 to drive it for 13 years. It required very little maintenance and did look good when I sold it. No cracked seats (thanks to Lex-ol(sp?) and no cracked weathering stripping (thanks to die-electric grease) Original clutch still strong - just wanted an auto Vette instead of a shift. Amazing how original factory paint (lt. Blue)can look new when well cared for.
1988 Z51 4+3 bought in 2000 for $13,400 with 26,000 miles. Car looks and drives new. No rust anywhere including exhaust manifolds! Came with new BFG T/A Comps and has needed nothing except this year a Optima Red top. Black/black with every factory option.
1995 white coupe bought this August for $17,500 with 16,500 miles. No options except 3.07 axle. Came with new BFG KDWS ( that I would like to trade for dry weather tires). Looks and drives like new except does need an adjustment to auto cable to get it to shift out of Park more easily. Tranny shifts tight and firm so I do not think I should worry. Just have not had time to bring it in. Does not drive as tight as my Z51 but will install autocross Bilsteins soon.
Have owned a 59, 65, and 69 and after 4 to 5 years of ownership I sold them all for a profit. Do not think I will make a profit on the 95 but it is still a lot of car for the money.

Re: How much did you pay & what shape was it (skeet)
well i looked for a really really long butt time before i found the one i want since i am so picky but january 15 of 2003 from a private seller i purchased my dream car, a black on black LT4 six speed coupe with adjustable suspension for $12,400 and it is in immacualte shape the guy really didnt know what he had. the only reason it is so cheap is the miles but was only used for trips so it is all highway.

I paid $5,000 for my 88 in April with 50K miles. Very nice condition. Still had all records with original window sticker. Also came with a cam, and ported plenum, intake, and heads.

I bought mine in January for 17K. It is a 95 6-sp Vert w/ 42K miles and in excellent shape. It had a PE exhaust, SLP intake and 4.11 gears on it. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would say it was a 7.5 - 8.

Bought mine in June of 2002 from a dealer for $21K. It had 23k miles on it with brand new tires and a brand new canvas top. Condition was 9 out of 10.
