Re: C4 Seat Wear (96GhostLT4)
Well folks my 85 has worn out it's SECOND set of upholstery(186k+) the first was cloth and the second that I put in is leather. I'll be putting in the third sometime this year.
Good to know about rotating the covers. Maybe like a tire rotation it would be a maint item

Re: C4 Seat Wear (90whitevette)
When I had the 88 Z51 coupe, I rotated the seat every year. Finally changed the covers at 94000 miles. This car was a daily driver and I was suprised that the leather turned hard and stiff after 60K miles. Then the real wear started but the drivers side bolster finally wore through at 90k miles. The replacements was still in good shape at 125 k miles when I passed the car to my son.

Keep that leather from getting hard and cracking. IMHO the best is stuff I got at the Jag dealer for the Connolly leather.
Here's some hints, there are more out there if you look.
