93 Coupe R12/R134a
Just purchased a 93 Coupe with 45k. It has sat outside more than needed and has 30 yr old car probs, but runs great. The AC isn’t blowing cold air. The yellow sticker on compressor says R12, but the fittings are large, my recharge kit for my Jeep (134a) fit it. Was a conversion done? Can I fill it with 134a?
I appreciate any help
I can get.

If the fittings are 134 I'd put a gauge on it and top it up with 134. There would be no reason for the adapter fittings if it wasn't converted. I would also add at least an ounce of 134 oil also. Should be good to go.Is the compressor engaging when turned on? Check that first.

R12 is colder, however it's getting harder to find. If you diy you can occasionally still find cans on craigslist etc. With our vettes it's easier to mske it run cold with 134 since the pressure switch is adjustable.
