Water on Floor Passenger Side - AC Evaporator?
More often than not, there’s a pool of water on the ground after I’ve driven it and parked it, then come back to drive it (ie for example going to work/home) below the passenger footwell/blower/evaporator area. I’m certainly no hvac guru, but I’m guessing it’s the A/C evaporator. Any thoughts? And if it’s the evaporator……how difficult a job is it to swap that out? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
It runs down on the other side of the passenger foot well and drips right here, see red circle.
Location of the AC evaporator.

You are not alone in his - it happens to every car with AC, you just never noticed this before. And it happens wherever there is AC, like in your home. It's moisture being removed out of the air and is a normal function of the AC unit.

Thanks all for the responses. I've been driving the C6 GS for the past few days and will drive the C4 again tomorrow. I'll check it over again with the info you provided. I'm guessing its working properly....just not used to the amount of water on the ground on some days, but I'm guessing its due to the heat we've had here, and now that its beginning to cool a bit, low 90's/upper 80's, I suspect it will decrease more as well.

Looked at it again today. Interior passenger floorboard is dry, so I guess its working alright. I looked again underneath before taking it down off the lift and I see no drain tube anywhere. It is coming out of a hole around the fuel filter and rolling down to that area I circled with the drip in the pic in my first post. I'll keep an eye on it, but suspect it is working properly, and as noted, expect it to be less with the cooler weather around the corner. I'll keep watching it though. Just glad I'm not having to replace the evaporator!
Thanks,
Barry

Great! Thanks for confirming there is no tube, just a hole, IHBD; very much appreciate it!
I was looking and looking for that stupid tube....and just gave up.
