Default 2023 C4 Corvette of the Year, Unmodified. ENTER NOW

For Corvetteforum's C4 Corvette of the Year competition for 2023, you have two choices for entering your Corvette -- Unmodified and Modified. (Restomods will have their own competition this year- All Years.)

For the Unmodified category, minor modifications are permissible; for the Modified category, your modifications can be for appearance or performance or both. You are welcome to list your modifications.

We’ve had questions and concerns in the past about whether people with minor modifications (aftermarket wheels, for instance) should enter the modified category or the stock category. While we allow cars with minor modifications to enter either category, ultimately, their Corvettes will be judged by community members, who will accept or reject their Corvettes as appropriate entries.

This thread is for entering your C4 Corvette in the Unmodified category.

You can enter just one of the categories of competition by posting one photo of your C4 (in Unmodified) in the appropriate thread no later than 5 p.m. EDT, Oct 1. At the request of participants in past competitions, we will allow the posting of up to three photos in in the Modified competition. Moderators then will pick ten of their favorites as finalists and set up a poll to allow you to vote on which of those finalists is the C4 of the Year. Please note that when the poll is set for voting on the ten finalists, only the first picture in a modified entry will be included if you posted more than one picture in the modified competition.

The judging, of course, is subjective and will be heavily influenced by the quality of the photographs submitted for the entries.

The contest is open to site users across the globe. Site Moderators are not allowed to enter.

The reward in each of the categories is bragging rights and a designation under your user ID declaring your winning status.

In subsequent months, we’ll feature other generations for Corvette of the Year with the winner in each of those generations competing for Corvetteforum Corvette of the Year. The Corvetteforum Corvette of the Year will be featured on the mobile home page of the site.

The fine print: One entry per member. This contest is open to site users over the age of 18 who own the car they enter. Entry photos must have been shot by the Corvette's owner. That is to avoid professionally made photos which might give the entrant an unfair advantage. If you want to enter a photo of you in or by your car, that's fine so long as the picture was not taken by a professional photographer. If you enter a car that previously has been a winner, it will not be eligible for competition. Previous C4 of the Year winners may enter with a different Corvette. Entries will be disqualified when obviously entered in a wrong class, use too many photos, enter multiple categories or submit an entry after the posted deadline. Campaigning for your car or another person’s car around the site is now prohibited. Negative posts will be removed. Please Contact Administrators Savewave or Vettebuyer6369 with questions.

ONE MORE POINT: This may seem elementary, but for ease for all concerned, please tell us what year your car is when submitting your photo. Thanks!

1987 " Little Red Corvette" Stock, except for 88 MY wheels and full Borla exhaust. Bright Red/Saddle Interior (Sports Seats Leather AQ9). The little lady dug this beauty at first sight, so I bought it. Just an epic car, and my second C4. Photo taken by me.

Default 1988 Base Convertible

I'd wanted one since I graduated from high school in 1988. My uncle came across this deal and connected me with the owner. We don't know much about its history but when I got it, the 4+3 was gone in it. After the 4+3 went out, the previous owner had let it sit for about 5 years. I rebuilt the 4+3 - new clutch and pressure plate. Then it was time to start on the rest of the car. So far, I have had to do the typical things for a car of this vintage, IAC, polarization in the dash, fuel filler gasket, alternator and a new top. I was very happy that more things worked on the car than didn't work. It is a continuing process to replace things as they need to be done. I may never be "done". It is a blast to drive. I hope to get many more years out of it.

The picture is from a day trip the wife and I took into North Carolina.
