The things you see in the rear view mirror
I was going to class last Wednesday night over at Joint Reserve Base in Ft.
Worth. I always drive my Vette over as it gives a chance to drive it every
week and I always get it clean up for that. It's the only time of the week that I have a chance to drive it. I turn off the highway to go into the front gate and I saw this Grand Sport pull in behind me. We both went through the gate and I turned off to get something to drink before class and the Grand Sport pulled along side me. A nice looking woman was driving it and she waved and I waved back. I was thinking that she looked familiar but I put the thought out of my head. After I got the drink, I went over to class and saw the Grand Sport setting in the parking lot. I checked it out and saw that it had
military id and retired military plates. I went in and saw the woman setting
in my class next to where I sat. I knew her already and when we saw each other, we both laughed. Her husband bought it last year in Utah and they were PCS to Wright-Patt and retired there. She looked pretty good driving
the Grand Sport.

I'm going to Embry-Riddle. They have a masters program that I am working
on. It's a Masters of Aeronautical Science with an Operations Specialization.
After I got the Corvette, it is was on my list to do. Plus I got free credit from
Embry-Riddle because I completed ACSC PME. It's been pretty neat so far.
I've only taken three classes but I got a 4.0 so far  I saw Northwood
there; what are they involved in?

Northwood is a business and information systems college. I'm working on a BBA in business. Should finish this summer. I looked at Embry and Columbia, but Northwood gave me 48 hrs credit due to my job at Lockheed Martin.

After all of the posts, I got to wondering about the car and looked at my
tons of Corvette books that I had bought and have come to a conclusion;
I did not see a Grand Sport at the base. I did see one in Chickasha, Oklahoma last September when I went up for my mom's funeral. It was just
like the pictures in the book: Admiral Blue paint job, two red hashes on the
left front fender, the black mags and the white racing stripe down the middle. I think that becasue it was getting dark and I just glanced at it but it had two white stripes instead of one and it was steel blue in color and no badging anywhere on the car. Sorry about that guys. I really thought that it was one. However, it does bring a question that I have. According to all information that I can find, Chevy only built 1,000 Grand Sports which were all manual
transmissions and the special paint job. According to a Lewisville ad that I saw on the Internet, there is a reverse paint job GS: White with a blue stripe and I saw a GM photo of a GS without the white stripe. The question is, when they built the GS, did they build variants other than coupe or convertible?
Any ideas?
