What a shame ... that's a lot of Vettes along with a number of C4s.

I'm really tired with crime in this country from the border to main street. Integrity and honesty are words soon to scrubbed from our dialect by the woke America.
To those on this forum that value and exhibit uplifting character and morality, I applaud and appreciate you.

I wonder how these people are being treated by insurance companies. My brother has a house in Sanibel. While he has both hurricane and flood insurance many of his neighbors have only hurricane. The insurance companies are denying claims for water damage if you don't have flood insurance. Even though the "flood" was caused by the hurricane. It will be fought in court for years. Dan

Yes! It's called Title Washing, and there are 3 ways to go about it. Here's an article explaining...

Huh? I thought C4's ARE Vettes!
That's somewhere about 200 Vettes just 1975 to 2012. I know people's circumstances vary, but how can that many people not protect their car? Sure, some people have physical limitations, some cars may not have been drivable, some owners may have HAD to drive the family car with kids and relatives etc. But it still seems like some of that loss COULD have been prevented.

That was my thought. Good for vettecart.com or others looking for a project. Bad for little Johnny or Suzy looking for a reliable first vehicle that jumps on the low price thinking they got a deal

I wouldn’t touch the ones past 82 - too many electronics.
On the bright side, there should be some windshields, trim moldings, and other pieces available for a while.

2) There was no time. The storm was projected to hit Tampa and it turned without warning into Fort Myers. There was no time to get out, as it went from "Tropical storm no big deal" to "direct hit from a essentially Cat 5" within a matter of minutes.
3) The amount of water was immense. Garages flooded type stuff. The only way to protect it would have been to flee in it, which wasn't likely due to #2.
4) A lot of people it's their "other" home and car (or more accurately it's their "just long enough to claim FL as their home.state to not pay state income tax" home). Many people just flat out weren't there and had no way to do anything.
