1989 127,000 miles oil preasure
just recently my oil pressure reading had dropped
At idle it's around 17 psi and at say 2,000 rpms 35
should I be worried?
I do have an oil leak somewhere but it
it's minor some say it at the oil pressure gauge a normal leak on c'4s

Confirm with a known good mechanical gauge first. 10 psi per 1000 rpms is cited as acceptable so technically you are in spec. But with a sudden drop I would first confirm what you are seeing is accurate.

Pressure sounds awful low to me? Did you check the sending unit?

My 89 oil pressure is the same. I think it’s in the normal range. I’m not worried at all. My 89 runs great, no noise. I took oil cap off valve cover and there’s plenty of oil reaching the top. I use 5W30 non synthetic.

Rule of thumb is 10psi per 1000rpm, so if youre at that, you're still OK. It should be more like 45-60 at cruise speeds, depending on temps, and then about half that is idle.
It does need to be verified by a mechanical gauge as the sending unit (to the dash) does wear too with age.
Likely you've just got some play in the oil pump due to age, Melling M55 is the one you want. Mine did the same thing before I replaced it at similar mileage.
