Too bad the engine is gone. I've read internet rumors that GM just put new vins on the few 83s that were made. The only way to tell would be to examine the engine vin to see if it has an 83 vin. This one probably has a 83 build date, so good luck arguing with them regardless of what the vin shows.

"Body only, no engine or transmission", but it shows gas powered 8 cylinder and automatic transmission.

$2500 for a C4 body isn't a bad deal if one needs panels & other miscellaneous parts...I suspect you can talk the seller down on price too being no engine...probably just wants it out of the shop.
Who cares about the mis-print, can't tell you how many craigslist articles have been posted here over the years that were woefully wrong...as the saying goes "buyer beware, not seller beware"

Probably sitting on OEM GS wheels too. Lol. It would be worth the 2 grand for the wheels alone. If I lived close I’d be over there looking at casting letters right now.
