Default Repair Manual... Which is the best

I just bought a kit for making the Thermo fans cut in earlier. The Instructions that came with it aren't all that good. I tried to get more info from my repair manual(Haynes) but that isn't that comprehensive either.
Which is the best C4 repair manual out there.
I have two thermo fans and the manual I have mentions it but thats about it.
I hope this question doesn't start an argument. I just need a manual that is comprehensive and shows pretty much everything

Cheers
Tim

The HELMS Shop Manuals will set you back $100 plus, but they are the most definitive.

Haynes has some good pics, so I use them both

I would recommend Helm if I didn't have such a bad experience with their customer service and didn't end up getting a manual period. There is another company that is actually cheaper. I can't think of the name of it right now and I'm getting ready to leave the house. Hopefully, someone else will know it. Its not Haynes or Chiltons either. If its not posted when I get back home I'll look it up because I'm needing to order one for me too.

OK so where do I get it from.
HELMS has a web site where I can order it but is there anywhere cheaper?

Indeed the GM Shop Manual is the best, electrical with the Electrical Suppliment.

I put up a C4 Tech Tip on wiring the Aux Fan switch to control both fans.

If your kit has a manual fan switch, just wire one side to ground and the other side to the Grn/Wht wire at the fan relay. Then the fans will come on whenever the ignition is on and the switch in the On position.

You can pick up the Grn/Wht wires where the aux fan switch wire goes into the wiring harness along the left inner fender and at the main fan relay on the rear of the inner fender.

BTW, you can get insulation displacement connectors and spade lugs at Radio Shack that realy help.

Oldman, Thanks for the link. That is the company I was thinking of. I just ordered one for my 86. Cost $50 plus shipping.

Update. Auto Factory Manuals is out of 86s. I was sent a email letting me know yesterday. I was told the same thing from Helm a month or so again. I might have to suck it up and try Helm again since they reproduce them.

Helms want $97.00 for the manual and $117 for shipping because I live in Australia. That is a ridiculous amount. It would be cheaper if I flew over and picke one up.
The other mob you mentioned are out of stock.
I also checked Ebay. Nothing for an 89 at this stage.
If anyone has a manual for an 89 they want to sell I would be interested.
I will post this request in the wanted section.
