68, and I question whether I own it, or it owns me.

Not sure yet but I think I sorta

like Corvettes. My first Vette was a 1963, purchased in January 1965,.Then over the past 57 years I've owned a 1974 - 1977 - 1979 - two 1980's - 1981 - 1986 - 1994 - two1995's and three 1996's.
I'm 78 now and occasionally drive my "yellow fellow"

Well, I'm not convinced. Apparently over the years you have GOTTEN RID OF a 63, 74, 77, 79, 2 80's, 81, 86, 94, 2 95's and 2 of the 96's? Now who could do that if they sorta like Corvettes? I have only GOTTEN RID OF 4 Vettes since the 1960's and I still miss each of them.

(And Yellow Fellow looks fantastic!)

Thanks for the comments. I miss my previously owned also. Problem was this, to have herd of cattle you need a ranch. I never had a ranch......

I totally get it. Like Clint Eastwood said - "A man's got to know his limitations"

I loved my '67 427/400. But when I moved out from my parents' house and learned the realities of a landlord, the utility company, the phone company and others all wanting their monthly portion, plus the Vette needing some repairs, I just plain couldn't afford to keep it. I think I got $2,100 for it!

Old enough to live in a senior community but Im 28 forever.

Like the comment about the ranch....if I owned a property large enough god knows how many Id have

My 1st back in the 80s, I was 20 something. Bought this 73 for my kid brother

Slowest and worst driving V8 car Ive owned....but damn the way it looked...interior, how could i not buy it!

Still find myself browsing C3s for sale just as much as C4s.

I actually prefer C-3's over any model before 0or after. As far as later models go I like the C-4 because you can still pretty much repair anything on them in your own garage. Don't care at all for C-8, and couldn't afford one anyway. All I feel about them is, If you want a Ferrari, Maserati or a Lamborghini go buy one, don't settle for a quasi look alike. But many people do like them so what an old man thinks doesn't matter one iota.

Agree....i dont wanna own anything that Im dependent on some guy charging me 1-200 an hour to practice learnining on
C4s still got a 350, trans and rear end behind them. Dont need to drop a giant cradle to work on anything.

I cant fit in most C2s nor afford one ever. Love most yrs of the C3 period..They drive like chit in comparison to the C4 and are cramped but dont care.
That dash layout and those body curves...its just too cool.Love em.

You had a 427 C3 at that age, nice!
2100 for a big block C3...wow. I felt lucky to pick up my 1st ride, 67 rs 4 spd for $1200 at 19. Been out of the house a few yrs by then
Sold a few yrs later for the same $. Damn linkage kept jamming & didnt know any better. 3rd "rebuild" fixed it..then happened again. Had no choice really but to let it go. Transmission shops loved me.

Got it at 19, when it was a year old, sold it when I was 21. Bought it with my own money and paid my own insurance. I did come up short on the board money I was supposed to be paying my folks. One of the things that it needed which I couldn't afford at the time I sold it was a tranny rebuild, the synchros were getting pretty tired. Wonder why? So many good memories, and I miss my '59 as well, but my '92 is awesome even after owning it almost 14 years.
