Default Carpet kit

Now that I removed my heater core with help from people on here, many thanks, I'm going to have to buy new carpet and wonder what company is recommended. While I'm waiting for the heater core to arrive I'm going to remove the seats and the drivers side. And the rear area too. I've heard that the speaker covers don't come with the kits, and you have to unglue the carpet from the trans tunnel sides and the rocker sills. I forgot to mention that I'm paralysed on my left side and torso which made the 8 hour heater core extra fun. Looking for the easiest best fitting kit and not afraid of the work. It's just my last carpet was in a 75 vette and it was very easy but made differently. Any how to videos and instruction would be great. And thanks for all the help from this community.

I would say Big Al, he sells to other Corvette parts stores, just buy direct.

I used Stock Interiors with Mass backing option added and am very pleased. I believe $670 plus shipping. The jute padding was already attached to the back of the mass backing for the floor areas and other key areas for sound deadening. I let the carpet sit in the sun for a couple of hours to get the mass back pliable for easy forming. The carpet is pre-formed but is rolled up in a box so some relaxing needs to occur. Install the 200 lbs of plastic back over carpet and your good. Joking on weight but I was shocked on how much plastic is used in a two seat car.

PS. I bought the interior screw kit from CorvetteMods which comes individually bagged and labeled for $30. Worth having if you ever take apart the interior in my opinion.

I got mine from MidAmerica Motorworks (MAM). The kit came with speaker covers that matched the rest of the carpet, which was good.

However, the edges of the carpet were not all sewn correctly - a QC issue for sure! So, be sure to inspect all the pieces - a quality check - to be sure the pieces are all good and ready to install.
