Default Plug in for battery tender

So I have C4 Corvette 1989 I have a battery tender installed. I would like to know if anybody has come up with a way to put the 120 V plug in a location where you do not have to constantly open the hood. I leave my Corvette plugged in during the week and use it only on weekends. I just get tired of opening the hood all the time.

thanks to everybody out there and stay Covid free

I've seen posts where guys have said they ran the cord to slightly stick out a gill. Just open the hood myself.

I extended the cable on the car side, mounted it on the wall of the garage and just plug it into the lighter on the console when I get out. It's hanging right there when I open the drivers door. I think it looks cheesy having it mounted under the hood on the car... idk.

When I had my 89, and the connector coming out of the grill, below the battery, and when not in use, stuck between the grill it was tight, and stayed in place.

I've done the same. Takes only seconds to connect or disconnect, can be connected to nearly any vehicle, and with the wires running across the driver's seat and out the window, makes it impossible to forget to disconnect. No changes required to the vehicle's wiring. Painless. Mine's been set up this way for at least ten years, and I've set up numerous others in the same way for friends and family.

Live well,
