Sub Woofer Encloser
I am going to remove all of my carpet and do a sound deadening install this fall and winter.
While I have it apart I would love to build a custom cabinet to house the sub and amps.
Does anyone have pictures of what they have?
I am open to all ideas.
Thanks Hawkeye56

I asked on here for my 95 convertible, never got an answer. When I put up pics of what I did for my 95 nobody had anything nice to say. Search google , there are some neat ideas for the coupe. Good luck and have fun.

Enclosure
I know you have a 95. I did this to my 86. I called Alpine to find out the correct specs to build a fiberglass enclosure. I did have to use a Slim T-10 sub. I stacked the amps without any problems.
Just my experience...Good Luck

I replaced the rear speakers with 8" subs. It gets loud.
I didn't want to lose Targa storage. You have to plan things out to manage that if you do a normal enclosure. If I was designing one, I'd try to put it on the back wall personally.

I am looking at some of the underseat options, my pass side seat is manual and seems to have enough space. Obviously wont be rattle the mirror bass but with such a small interior I think it will be good.

Will cranking a sub under the seat cause a muddy mess for your passenger? Serious lol
I like the backwall idea plus its out of sight from prying eyes.

I bought an Alpine PWE-S8 hoping it would fit under the passenger seat. If you leave the seat fixed in one position you could cram it in there but probably won't sound great or be comfortable for the passenger. You could also raise the seat but I am not sure I would go that route.
I decided to mount mine on the back wall. I didn't want to drill through there since the gas tank is so close, so I used something called a click-bond stud. They are commonly used in aviation and work pretty well.
I found a cheap Holley Hydramat (PN: 16-202) kit that had everything I needed. List price is pretty expensive though so it would likely be cheaper to piece together what you need separately.
