Hey Guys,
Can a 1996 CCM be reprogrammed to another 96 ? Anyone have any help / tricks to removing one ? I have a CCM from a car that totaled and was removed without regard for interior damage. Also removed was entire drive train My 96 CE is obviously intact and receiving the drive train and want the mileage to reflect the drivetrain.

From what I've read it takes a tech2 scan tool which you might have to search around for a dealer who still has one.

Ok I'll check out if the tech2 can do it and I'll hunt one down. I'm sure finding the correct cartridge for it will be a blast !!😑

i had to replace mind too, this is what i did ( https://www.justanswer.com/chevy/3qk...94-corvet.html ) since i have done mine i think i can do it again in about 1-2hrs taking my time
first time it will take a while

What are the functions of the CCM?

Also known at the Body Control Module, controls things like internal lights, chimes, etc. But I think the big thing is that it actually stores your mileage and I believe it needs to be synced up with the car to let the car run...although I'm not 100% certain of the latter.
