For those of you who recommended Zaino
THANK YOU!!! I went to the garage tonight, planning on staying a while... Well, I Clayed the car first, then hit it with Z1, then went into my first coat of Z5. Well, I let it dry a couple hours(Did all my leather/interior panels) and went to wife off the first coat, and it looked UNREAL. So, I put on part of another coat (hood), went back to it about 2 hours later, WOW. ... This stuff is worth every penny, and I can't wait to put a couple more coats on, and get my Z2(ordered it tonight) so I can cap it off with that! They do make a superior product! I owned a detail shop for 12 years, and I must say, these results surpass anything I ever imagined! Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!! :yesnod:
By the way, I took some pictures of it with the one coat wiped off, I'll take them as I progress... It's just too bad I have no SUNLIGHT to take some real pictures!!

Re: For those of you who recommended Zaino (Jbaker)
It is the best I have ever seen as well... I have used all kinds of polishes and waxes and this stuff puts it all to shame.
Once you have put a few coats on, use some of the spray detailer (Z10?) and it will take it to another level...

Wait to you get to Coat 10. Supposedly, the shine gets deeper and deeper.
I thought it was bogus but after each layer it got better and better. Personally,
I think 2-4 coats look great but I figured why not do 10 and see once and for all what the truth is.
Actually once you do the clay and the 1st coat, the other coats go on rather quickly. It is not cheap stuff but, its overall shine, ease of application, and just the nice smell as opposed to wax smells are worth it. The way I figure it, if you get your car detailed professionally its going to run $100.00+ and they may burn your paint. It cost me about the same once I buy the supplies but I know when I do my car it will come out right. :smash:

The "proper" way to do it is as follows:
1. use blue Dawn dishwashing soap
2. use clay bar (could use mothers clay bar too)
3. wash AGAIN
4. apply Z1 or ZFX
5. apply Z5 if you have scratches to get out
*wait 24 hours*
6. apply Z6 spray
7. apply Z2
wait atleast an hour pending on temp, humidity, etc.
then you can keep applying Z6 in between coats of Z2 always ending the cycle with Z2. You can also apply more Z5, but always end in Z2.

P.S. dont be cheap!! buy Z6 spray!! Also use very very soft QUALITY 100% virgin WHITE cotton towels.

Well, I bought the Z6, and a bunch of 100% cotton (WHITE) bath towels..So I'm good there. I also did the double Dawn wash... The only thing I didn't do was use the Z6 between Z5's(I haven't put a FULL Z5 coat on yet, I let 1/2 of it sit over night) so I'll be out there this morning... Great stuff though...
I thought Z6 would only be used for those times when you only had a dusting on the car and didn't want to wash the entire thing?

Z6 should be used before the polish and anytime you want the vehicle to look that little extra!!!
Go to Zaino's web site and they recommend the Z6 before and between polishes.

Yup, I checked that out, and did it before the entire coat 1 and 2 . I had done a second coat on the hood section without Z6, but went over that again. I'm done wiping the full 2nd coat off, and it's looking amazing. I have some POST-Zaino pics I'll be posting as soon as I get them on my site... The stuff is amazing though, I'm glad I took the time!!

It is amazing what the Zaino does for that Polo Green!
(we use to have one) Everyone said our 100K mile ride looked better then brand new with the Zaino treatment.
Now just keep a CA car duster and the Z6 detailing spray handy for the touch-ups!

Thanks! I walked in the garage tonight, with a buddy of mine, and when I opened the door, he looked and said "WOW, what a difference!!" you can see it in the sides the second you look at it... Then when the lights fire up(on the ceiling) it's night and day... my Z2 should be in tomorrow, so this weekend will be more fun :)

Get some Z-6 on that baby. It works well on the green. It will deepen the color and add some anti-static properties to the car. You will be amazed. Just remember - the less you use the better.

After I first used Zaino, people couldn't believe that my paint job was the original. :D

You know, I thought the same thing... "these guys are hyping this, must be getting free supplies from Zaino!"... And "It COULDNT be that good"... And "if it's so good, why does Zaino only take CHECKS??". .. So, I ordered, with my CC, through LAPD, and it came 3 days later. A weekend later, I found out I was thinking the WRONG things about people, the stuff is great... Like you see here, I haven't even finished the last step, and it looks unreal... So, I can't wait to finish it this weekend!!

Post again when you get to coat # 10 :)
I was told by zaino that you will see differences up to coat 10.
I was skeptical so I decided that I'd give it a shot.
I must say that the shine got better and better right up to coat 10.
I think after coat 10, you are spinning your wheels.
I absolutely love it and not I'm not paid by ZAINO.
