Painting my c4 brake calipers?
If anybody has any suggestions on the best way to paint my brake calipers on my C4 I'm getting new wheels and they will definitely show through the negative space on the rims so I want to paint them a blue color to match my car what would you guys suggest as far as process and product?

needing an expensive high temp paint is way overblown - plain old rustoleum or any quality engine enamel will work just fine. any auto paint store can custom mix any engine enamel color you want. remember, it's all in the prep.

I hit mine with a wire wheel on a drill and plan on painting them when I get time this week. The wire wheel really helped get the rust and brake dust off of it so I highly suggest it. First picture is what my calipers looked like when they came off vs what they look like now.

On most of my cars, I've used the high temp BBQ black paint with great results. Gives a nice, clean finish. As Joe C said, you probably don't need the high-temp stuff, but I've been using this paint for years on all sort of things and it is durable.

Of course, I have stock '90 rims, so it's not like you can see em that well anyway when the wheel is on. But even if I did have aftermarket rims, I'd likely still have kept em polished.
