Default 1994 reverse warning lights. Change my mind.

Don't laugh but, more than one time I've tapped the front of my C4. I see there are packages out there for reverse back-up radar warning, you know when you get to close it beeps.
You hook them up to your reverse lights. I want to put them in the front(there less than an inch in diameter, theres four of them, maybe you could just use one or two). It just needs 12volts. Maybe wire to the parking lights, so you can shut them off? The kit is like 15 bux.
Flame suit on....
Thanks

Why not just connect it to your brake light switch? If you're getting that close to an object, you will surely already have your foot on the brakes!

I just make sure I stop while I see the tires of the car ahead of me on the ground

Are you thinking scraping parking stops or vehicles in front of you? I had a curb-alert on my SLK because it had a really low bumper cover/air dam and was really expensive. It worked great except water drops on a wet road set it off. A front camera would work better. Garmin makes a GPS with front collision warning that calculates speed and distance in front of you. Anything for extra safety is good.

Not a bad idea at all.
Many cars have front-facing radar and cameras these days.
I agree that the front camera might be a better (although more expensive) option

Thanks Guys.I'm thinking the parking light wiring will work for me and they way I'll use it. For 15 bux it's worth a shot.

A camera? The OP has all but admitted that he's not looking in front of him when he's driving. Now you want him to look at a video screen INSIDE the car while it's moving??

Not sure what radar system you can get for $15. Here's one that works... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...urb-alert.html
