Anyone see "The Lost Corvette" on History Channel?

Probably one of the worst scripted "fake reality" car shows out there - and the split window looked like something thought up and executed by a first year high school shop class.

Cruising
I saw it in my Guide and tuned in right as it started, announcing it in a couple of C4 Facebook groups. Wasn't impressed. Felt misled. I may have enjoyed it more if they just said, "hey we're making a custom C4."

I deliberately avolded this thread till I got to watch it on DVR.
Truthfully I was disappointed to say the least, the only asspect of this '83 vette" that were interesting were the sharp lines. The split window set up they fab'ed was sooooo back yard mechanics. IMO

For a custom car meant to pull elements of C3 and C4 Corvettes, I thought that split-window idea was REE-DICK-U-LOUS!!! It wasn't even an element from the prior body style!!!
I am NOT trying to toot my own horn when I say I think my customized 89 gets gets WAAAAY closer to something between the "Mako Sharks" and our C4's. In fact, that's largely what I had in mind when I customized it. (I'm saying I put more thought than the average person into just this kind of Corvette hybrid!) After driving a few C3's back in 1988 -- then two C4's -- I had NO CHOICE but to alter my search for a Corvette built on the C4 platform. There is a huge spot in my heart for the side-pipe-equipped, hi-rise hood L88 454ci Mako Sharks. But, the C4 chassis was a HUGE improvement over prior generations!!!!
After buying my black C4, I added side-pipes and a hi-rise hood. I even have an engine with almost exactly the same torque/power profile as a 454 L88.... I'd post pics but, like I said, I'm not trying to toot my own horn!

I'd post pics
I liked the car except for the rear window. The back profile of a C4 just doesn't fit that style of window, especially one that just lays on top.
And of course, it really just was his vision of what a 83 would have looked like. Evidently enough people liked it to make the cover of Corvette magazine and get a show dedicated to it.

How is it “a vision of what a 83 would have looked like” if it has 2009 wheels and tires, a 1963 back window 1973 Side gills a 1985 engine a 1993 supercharger and Analog GAUGES? :
