Less than an inch more in depth vs a 22 gallon that fits at the rear for racing. With a late style bumper and some trimming it might work.

Are you racing enduro?

To be honest, the only mod I did for my 1996 C4 was upgrade to a 2000 C5 FRC.

But if you haven't done so already, I did see a lowered C4 and it looked really good.

Id send my whole car to Haibeck Automotive Technology and have him go through the car front to back top to bottom, coil overs, a 4:10 rear gear set, and and this engine package:

415 Cubic Inches, 650 HP

- Four inch liners with Diamond pistons and Molnar rods

- 4.125” stroke Bryant crankshaft. 4340 steel material.

- Maximum porting. The plenum port septum is removed.

- Large intake valves

- Long tube headers

- Fidanza aluminum flywheel

- Extended duration camshafts, choppy idle.
- If driven well, this engine will run 10.9 @ 130 mph in the quarter mile. For use at the drag strip a high torque capacity clutch is required. It is not included in the engine package.

Wait.. Are you saying someone has already mounted a 22 gallon cell in the back of a c4 safely ? And, what's enduro racing, unless its on a motorcycle.

Should be able to run faster than that shouldn't it? My 84' ran an 11.5 @ 120 (best MPH that day being 123). I think I could get a low 11 out of her with sticky tires. I'm pretty sure I'm around 400 wheel, 3.73 gears. 275/40/17 Nitto NT05 tires. Car doesn't have any weight reduction minus a missing AC system.

Did you have it dynoed? That is very quick for that car for roughly 450-475chp.

never had it on a dyno. I was just basing those numbers off other ppl with similar mods. I do want to get her on a dyno though.

Plenty of 22 gallon cells mounted in C4's.

And Enduro is Endurance racing. Usually a minimum of 7 hours. But up to 24.

Yes, first done many years ago for racing, designed to pass SCCA W@W tech inspection. The factory tank isn't up to the safety regulations. Fuel Safe offers a service to modify the factory tank, add bladder, etc. However that service is much more expensive than going the route of the 22 gallon cell, and you add 2 gallons.

Enduro is short for Endurance Racing.

Oh ok I understand what you guys are saying, So ill clarify, I want to keep the existing tank, and add 22 gallons of capacity or more. I want to be able to drive the car 800+ miles without stopping for fuel. I realize its a weird idea, but I would like to find a safe way to do it. As it stands now, I don't think there is one.

Its a painting by Francisco Goya. Its named "Saturn Devouring His Son", although Goya did not name it.
It is actually quite a famous painting, and I like it. Not much else to say except that it has a real effect on many people, which is probably why its so well known.
