Default C-4s More enjoyable to drive than C-5s??

Today I seriously looked at a 97 6 speed C-5 in excellent condition. It had 23000 miles, loaded with all the goodies. The guy wanted $28000. As nice as it was, I enjoy my 87 C-4 better. I prefer the way it drives. The C-5 didn't feel like I was driving a vette. It felt like a very nice high dollar Toyota or something like that. Comments?

I'd trade my C4 for a C5 anyday. It is roomier, the power is better, I hate the doorsills in mine. Even though I am very happy driving mine, I would love to have a C5.

I DID trade my C4 for a C5....was lucky to be able to get the '94 BACK! I agree....for all their acolades (sp?), the 99 i had didn't "feel" like a Corvette.

I know more then a couple people who had a C5 and went back to a C4. I've bought 3 vettes in the last year and a half... an 86, 95 and a 96... so you see where my hearts at. I personally think I'm going to skip the C5's and wait till the C6's come out :)

Both great cars, both lots of fun, both put a smile on my face! :D

However, both are much different in terms of ride and handling. I have my C4 for sale for personal reasons but I'm gonna miss the heck of it if I sell it. I love them both very much as far as cars go.

I don't think I would trade my C4 for a C5, but that is probably because of the $$ I have tied up in my C4. I wouldn't mind owning both though.

If it ain't broke.....don't fix it! I love my C4, not looking for anything else. I am sure I would trade it for a Z06. :D

The original owner of my car told the dealership that he was sorry he sold his C4. I've never driven a C5 or rode in one personally but I don't like the looks as much. I like the interior dash design, but I don't like the seats or the exterior design.

IMHO the C6 should be a blend between the C4 & C5.

C5's butts are too big, too deep IMHO. Front of C5's reminds me too much of front of last of the previous generation of Pontiac Firebirds, '91 '92, at least the gills on the front bumper do. Same with C5 headlights, remind me of a Firebird.

My dream 'Vette would be a '96 LT4 'vert, white w/ red/blk interior, modded to around 400RWHP, 400+ RWTQ :yesnod: :yesnod:

I started to trade my LT4 for a C5 back 2 years ago but after test driving it I changed my mind and opted to keep the C4. Don't get me wrong the C5 is a wonderfully smooth and great driving car but its not the car I want. The C4 feels like a jet cockpit, with controls and instruments around you. You sit down into the seat, not slide in and sit . :yesnod: They are 2 different cars and this LT4 is fast enough that it can hold its own against the normal C5s. So why change???...I think I will wait for the C6s and just keep this C4 .

I drive my C4 because I want to, not because I have to. The C5 just doesn't do it for me.

I think you gotta consider the person in here. At 6 foot, 230 I am alittle bigger than the average guy and the getting in and out can be a B*tch.

Once I am in, my C4 is the car for me. :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:

Hello!! get in a stock 87 and see if it rides or drives anything like YOUR 87. as far as Vettes go, an 84 would make yours ride like a Limo :D My 94 ZO7 Felt like a Corvette, I never thought my base suspension 96 collectors was any less of a Corvette.. Funny thing how the ZO6 gets high marks from the C4 gang. It is afterall a C5

The Z06 is a vette to be respected no doubt. It has power to make the average C4 guy green with envy....now if it just didnt have that HUGE butt.... :blueangel:

Well since yore not sellin me one. If you just want an opinion if one is more fun to drive? Well I had much fun driving a C5 because it was differnt i drove dozens of C4s each of those was different too but basically its apples and oranges. I like rough rides, traction problems, some rattles and road noise. Im confused.... can you define fun?
